We have a template utilizing 2 different sets of Dynamic Fields - the first set has a single parent field with a single child field, and the second set has a different single parent field with 2 child fields. All fields are Text type.
The 1 to 1 set works normally - you select a choice in the parent field, then are presented with the matching choices in the child field, select one, then close and save and the fields are still selected.
The 1 to 2 set has a problem under the following scenario: Start with the parent field empty, make a selection in it, then fill the child fields. Now save the changes - when it is saved, the child fields lose their values and are empty again. If the parent field is already filled when you fill the child fields and save, the values are saved correctly - this only happens if the parent field was originally empty.
In my testing, this is only happening when there is a single parent field with 2 or more child fields. The same behavior occurs whether you open the document and fill the fields in the Metadata pane, or whether you do it from View Metadata on a closed document in the browser. This did not happen in 8.3.2, and I have tested this on two different 9.1.1 systems with the same result.
Can this be confirmed and filed as a bug, or can you give us a workaround?
Thanks - Jim
