Theoretically, yes. As long as your scanner can deposit images in a location that is accessible by Laserfiche, you can both import and process scanned images. I can't speak to the details of the setup without knowing more about your environment and request, however. When you say portable, do you mean outside of your office network? If so, there are many other things to consider, such as bandwidth and security.
