Researching Laserfiche Client with Touchscreen Interactions

asked on March 28, 2014

I work in the medical care industry with highly-skilled clinicians who may not have technicals skills and may not have the time to acquire them.  They need to be able to rearrange a patient chart as if it were a paper chart.

To this end, I've been researching using a touchscreen + Windows 8.1, and I think I can make sorting within a document and within a chart a reality for these clinicians.  The touchscreen can function like a monitor or table-top, which is perfect for my situation, and gives the clinician a sense of familiarity with the process.

However, there are some small nuances with the OS + touch technology and within the laserfiche client GUI (9.1) that are preventing me from making this a super experience, which it needs to be or it will just be a gimmick.

Is anyone working on this that would be willing to do some collaboration. (Perhaps this has already been solved by someone).

Thanks,

Adam

Thanks Miruna,

I'm going to take a little time to document the hurdles and then get back to you.
