Laserfiche Workflow 9.1 License Error 0645-WF1

asked on March 26, 2014

I have done standalone installation on my laptop and when I am trying to run my workflow it shows me an error message: the workflow service is not licensed. [0645-WF1]

I logged to my account and tried to search for activation key for workflow but it is not there. Why this error is coming? Is there any configuration mismatch or workflow steps are missing.

My workflow is just simple with only one activity to send an email.

Did you configure a repository to monitor? Workflow is licensed when you supply a license file or connect it to a repository running on an Avante or Rio Laserfiche Server.

If you're running with the VAR kit, you should be using an Avante license.

How do you supply a license file? I have a United system and was never prompted to enter an activation key or provide a license file.

I am getting something similar:

The workflow service license is expired or from a previous product version. [0644-WF1]

On new installations, the Configuration Manager will request one when registering repositories.

On existing installations, you can view, remove or update the license through the Licenses node in the WF Administration Console.

Well, it looks like the activation key is the same as the one on the support site and it says it expires on 10/7/2014.

The version is for 8.3, which is not the same version we are using. I used an 8.3 license for our server and it worked fine. (both are test/evaluation licenses for our test system)

Why would I be getting this error?

(looks like this should have been its own question...)

Also, thanks for the tip on the license node.

So, you're using version 9, but have a license for version 8.3? Then just click Import in the license dialog and reactivate it so you get updated version.

Do I need to restart the services? (I ask because I have to request that some else do that.)

EDIT: The Answer is NO. I just needed to wait about a minute for the subscriber to start working.

Right, you don't. The Admin Console sends the license over to the server who reloads it without a restart.

Hello Miruna,

I am using ver 11.0.2102.264 and cannot attach the repository.

I can open the client.

My server name is just localhost.

This is a known issue with the admin console in version 11. Use the Configuration Manager utility instead.

Is your Laserfiche Server properly licensed?
