Global settings and restricting Options

 Hello everyone:

 

I have two questions:

 

1.  Can we create a global settings that will set the properties of LF client "Tools, options" for all client?

 

2.  Can we restrict or lock the settings on the LF client's "Tools,Options"?

1) Settings from the Tools>Options menu are stored as attributes which can be seen in the user's properties in the Administration Console.  If you'd like to set certain options as the default for all users in a repository, you can simply set up the client as you'd like for a certain user, export the user's attributes from the Admin Console, and import the attributes to the Everyone group.

 

2) I don't believe this is possible.  Hopefully once the user has the default settings explained in part 1, this won't be an issue.  Can you provide us with some more information on what you'd like to lock in the options menu and why?  This will help us understand your use case and help us consider adding this feature in a future release.

My clients Admin group like to create an standard settings in client's options. They like certain groups to have ability to change the settings and other not have the abilbity to change the settings.
