Avoid Conflicting Workflows

How can I turn off conflicting workflows?

 

Two separate workflows are trying to access the same folder and process the documents further..how can I turn off one workflow temporarily?

 

I do not want to delete/remove any workflow..

You can disable starting rules in workflow. Go to the rule manager and you can enable/disable it by selecting it and double clicking the check mark or clicking the "Disable Rule" link. It will take about 30 seconds to go into affect.
