Question

Can import agent delete documents - Ours appears to be

asked on March 25, 2014

We received a ticket (shown below) that indicated that the ADMIN account was deleting documents.    I was asked to investigate.

Using the ‘Audit’ tools I found some entries where the ADMIN account was deleting entries through the import agent.    I looked at all configurations in the import agent and cannot find where it would be instructed to delete anything .

Sharon checked the entryIDs and found no workflows that are deleting them, and the audit logs indicate that the entry was recycled by the ‘Import Agent’.

Any ideas?

Subject: ADMIN user is deleting files

--------------------

I am finding that the Laserfiche ADMIN user is deleting files from Store Imports.  I have to recover them from the recycle bin.  The Quickfields sessions are running under WFUSER so I don’t think it is the cause.  ADMIN is the user that brings the files over from the stores.  Can you check Import Agent to see if something is happening to them?  I have placed a copy of the files which were deleted over the last several days in Store Imports\Test.

Check the application event log on the Import Agent server to see if there are any errors or warnings logged at the same time that you noticed documents being deleted by Import Agent. Note that if a document had failed during the importing process, then the entry in the repository may have gotten deleted since it wouldn't contain a valid document.

I guess I should have indicated that we're running LaserFiche 9.1.1.   We recently upgraded to this version.
