Limit workflow to a specific folder and it's sub-folders?

I would like to have a workflow that only functions in a specific folder and any of it's sub folders. I know I can create a starting condition that points to a specific folder but haven't quite figured out how to then also include any sub folders of the parent.

Try using the "starts with" condition on the path, then add the path you want. That should get you the folder you explicitly define, as well as any sub folders.

Have the starting rule based on "Entry Path starts with..." That will cover all the subfolders as well.

In addition to the starting rule, you can set up a Laserfiche user for the workflow that only has entry access rights to the folder and its subfolder. This will protect against accidental access.

 

If you do this, just remember to document this fact in case the process  later needs to access other items and you get Access Denied!
