Question

further elaboration on a recent change to forms 9.1.1 regarding to ldap

asked on March 21, 2014

Windows and LDAP accounts from the Laserfiche repository are now synchronized to Forms regardless of their authentication type (110679)

does this mean that by setting LDAP via Laserfiche Admin Console will automatically sync users to forms? participants?  thank you in advanced.

Yes, if an LDAP user is given a full named user license, they will be synchronized in Forms. Of course they will not be synced until a scheduled or manual synchronization occurs. Participant users are not synchronized. However, you can add a list of participant users by pulling from your LDAP server.

I have named users in Rio who are not being pulled in when I manually synchronize the Forms users.  Any idea why?

Have you added an activate directory domain controller under Forms Configuration?

Yes, that was configured.  The users showed up as "false" license under the LF admin console instead of "Full".  I had a tech support chat, and we deleted the users, stopped and started the Laserfiche Server service and did several other things  before I had to leave for an appointment.  When I left, I could not log in to the console due to an error.  When I returned, the system must have had time to refresh or some sessions timed out, because I could log in to the console again, their license showed as Full, and they now show up in the forms user list after doing a manual synchronize.
