Question

Searching for electronic documents, after the electronic files have been deleted && didn't generate pages as a default option

asked on March 13, 2014 Show version history

Hi,

Unfortunately some users have deleted the electronic files from various imported electronic documents and also they never did generate the pages, that is why when you go to the properties of those specific documents the image path is blank . I want to know if there is a way to search various folders in a repository and find the documents that do not contain the electronic files associated with them. (Since They Have been deleted). That way I can take it accounted for.

Thanks.

You can download the Volume Consistency Checker from the support site to find which electronic documents are missing from the volumes.

If this isn't regarding the electronic files being deleted from the volumes directly, but rather, users in the repository just deleting the electronic file component of a document from the "Tasks" menu, then you can search for entries in the repository that have no electronic file component and have no pages. That should mostly return what you're looking for.
