Question

Users lost access to folder

asked on March 12, 2014

Using LF 8.2

A folder was moved, then returned to it's location.  The users can no longer see the folder but it is in the correct location.  Checking the folder's access rights show that the Trustees with inherited rights have those rights 'grayed out' while the Trustees with not-inherited rights are fine.

It probably a beginner's question, but how to re-establish those inherited rights?

Grayed out rights means those are access rights that are being inherited by access rights in a parent folder. They are grayed out because you need to go to the folder the access rights are inherited from in order for them to be changed.

Is there a security tag on the folder now? That could effect things.

I went to the folder where the rights originated from and first, denied then added the rights back to each Trustee and the users can see everything now.  Thank you for your response.
