Is there documentation that covers security of forms data in transient?

I have a customer that is asking for documentation that covers security protocols for data while it is being submitted. i.e. how is data being secured while it is being "pushed" to the repository?

I'm assuming you mean from LF Forms? If that is the case it would depend on how forms is configured. There is an option to Use an SSL connection to communicate to the repository if they would like an encrypted connection (Forms Documentation). There is also an SSL checkbox to for communication between the users browser and the Forms server (see here).
