Question

"Laserfiche Forms encountered an internal error. Please try again."

asked on March 7, 2014

User is getting "Laserfiche Forms encountered an internal error. Please try again" error when trying to change the Role of a user/group in Forms System Security area.  Does that error point to a particular issue, or is it a generic message when there is some sort of communication error?  Thanks!

The error message is generic, but there should be a more detailed one in the Windows Application Event log on the Forms server.

Tim, did you ever happen to get a resolution to this issue? If so, would you mind sharing? We are encountering the same issue and there are no errors suggesting any problem.  I appreciate any input you can provide.  Thanks!

I have a user that receives the same error when submitting any LF Form. All other users can submit without error.

Can you please include the more detailed error message that should be in the Windows Application Event log on the Forms server?

Sorry, I accidentally posted as another user in our organization, Norma Young. Were were all logged into the Empower 2015 site on my laptop reviewing our course selections.

Back to the Forms error:

I don't know if this is related but below are 3 errors from the Application Event Log in order of occurrence:

I should mention that I have only heard of this occurring with one user. This form has no restrictions and has been submitted by several others. The user is on a Mac, OS X Maverick, using both Safari and Firefox. He's also tried submitting using Safari on his iPad and receives the same error.  I've had him clear his cache late this afternoon, still not able to submit.

He will be in the hangar on Thursday and I have asked him to log on to a Windows machine is our training room and to let me know the results.

I can submit on my iPad, HTC One (Wi-Fi/LTE), Windows 7 (any browser). I've also had several others users submit and no issues.
