asked on March 5, 2014

When documents are stored from outlook it goes in as a PDF. Is there a way to change the settings so that it gets stored as a tiff?

There is! There are a few options that you have to change. First, open up the options menu (Tools > Options) from the Laserfiche Client. Under New Documents > Settings make sure 'Generate Laserfiche pages' when importing PDFs is checked, and 'Keep original PDF files' is un-checked. Then under New Documents > Outlook choose to file the attachments separately, and un-check 'Apply e-mail fields to attachments'.

Now when you save from Outlook, incoming PDF attachments will be stored as separate documents, and a TIFF image will be generated for each one. Since the original PDF is not kept, the only remaining copy will be a TIFF image!

Client Workstation: Laserfiche Forms can be viewed in Chrome, Firefox 3.5 and higher, Internet Explorer 7 and higher, Opera, and Safari (Mac only). It also supports mobile browsing from iPad 2 and higher. Viewing administrative pages (those that require the user to log in) requires Internet Explorer 9 or higher, Firefox 12 or higher, or Chrome 6 or higher.
