When is it not possible to use a relative path .\ for a volume?

When choosing the volume path, you always have the option of using a UNC path, a full path, or a relative path. In fact, using a relative path is a best practice. This way even if the location of the repository changes, or you export the volume, the path will remain intact.

Thanks Jason! I found reading the help file useful especially the Note section on manually moving a logical volume.
