Fill Out PDF Form Activity Incorrectly Saving the PDF as a Permanent Image

asked on March 3, 2014

I am populating a PDF form with template fields using the Fill Out PDF Form activity.  I leave the Make Content Permanent check box blank and the resulting output shows the fields on the form updated but the form turns into a permanent image.

I am running LF WF 9.0 and I create the forms in Adobe LiveCycle.

The original PDF form had Adobe's extended features enabled. The PDF library used in Workflow isn't aware of these features so the resulting PDF has extended features disabled. An enhancement has been filed to support PDF forms with extended features.

Can anyone tell me if the enhancement to support extended features has been added?  I am using WF 9.2 and am still running into the issue of the PDF being flattened when Workflow fills it out.

Thanks!!

This seems to be fixed as of 9.2.  The original fix relating to extended features not being saved with the form seemed to have morphed into more of a LF Server issue that would not clear a temporary file used when opening a PDF.  As of LFS 9.2.0 Build 343 all seems to be working fine with maintaining PDF e-form functionality by checking out the document, filling out the form then checking it back in.
