Question

Question

List of attributes and the properties they are tied to

asked on February 28, 2014

I am trying to replicate these settings from a user account, however it is a little unclear where these settings are exactly in the attributes list.

Is there a spreadsheet or description table of the attribute listed in the attributes tab and what it actually effects, or vice versa?

I want the OCR to be ran on each document so that it processes all text (not all PDF’s were receiving have good text, it appears to be a portion and not aligned correctly, throwing off workflows).

First of all, there is a whitepaper on attributes that provides a list and explanations for a variety of common attributes: https://support.laserfiche.com/GetFileRepositoryEntry.aspx?id=2410&mode=download

If there are any additional attributes/groups of attributes that you’d specifically like to see documented, let us know and our User Education team can look to add them into a future version of the whitepaper.

For your specific question, the attribute related to your screenshot is the following:  [Settings]UseAlternatePdfTextMethod

I have a similar request - I would like a dictionary of the attributes and their value settings.  I am currently working with [Option] attributes - ElectronicImportOption, ElectronicImportOptionCheckIn, ElectronicNewVersionDelete, ImportType.....   (version 8.3).     I, too, read the referenced white paper but did not find the attributes that I was looking for.  Thank you.

Great thank you, I was searching the site for this type of white paper but had no luck locating it.
