Enable text pane

I have a user which has been assigned full rights and previlleges. But when opening an OCR'ed document, I can't view the text. The "Text Pane" is grayed out. How can I enable it ?

The text pane itself won't open? That's probably a machine/installation issue, not a security issue (unless it happens to them on another machine too). I'd recommend running a repair operation on the Client installation and seeing if that fixes it.

The text pane itself won't open, and the text pane icon is not clickable.

 

I have tried a repair operation and also tried uninstalling and reinstalling. Didn't work.
