Question

Is there a way to change the currently logged in users password within Weblink?

asked on February 18, 2014

We have a client that is using weblink for some of their named users. Since those users each have their own log in credentials, they use that to access weblink. Is there a way for those users to be able to change their own passwords through weblink without needing to go to the Laserfiche client to change the password?

Thanks,

 Cody

The MyWeblink page will allow a user to change their password if:

  1. They logged in by entering credentials (vs. being automatically logged on)
  2. They are logged in as a Laserfiche user (vs. domain account or LDAP user)
  3. The "user cannot change password" option is unchecked for that account

WebLink also has logic built into the login dialog to handle expired passwords.

Yes, you can do this in the My WebLink > Connection Information section. See the screenshot below.

Ah I had been logged in automatically so I didn't see that. I see it when I log in with a specific user.

Thanks!
