Question

If you have joined a Macintosh computer to your Active Directory domain, can you use use Windows Authentication when logging in through Web Access on that machine?

asked on February 18, 2014

This is a K-12 education client, and they have a number of Macintosh computers. Has anyone ever seen a situation where Macs were on the domain, and the user wanted to try and use Windows Authentication in that situation?

I know it is possible to connect Macs to the domain, but I want to know if anyone has actually seen Windows Authentication work through Web Access, while connected on one of these machines.

I don't have any first-hand experience either way, but I believe that Safari doesn't support this and they would have to use Firefox.  (Safari bug report from 2009)
