Just curious as to how people typically migrate customer from an old server to a new server and minimize downtime? Obviously with the way Activation Codes work...you can't activate Laserfiche and get it up and running until it's been deactivated or uninstalled from the old server...this forces you to really not be able to do anything until you're ready for the cutoff....unless I'm missing something? I'm just looking for suggestions as to if that's the only way to do it. Would be nice to get the new server up and running, data copied over, so that the time Laserfiche is actually down would be minimal. This of course would be that we make the current Repository Read only until the move is complete as we don't want them adding to a repository that is going to be different on the new server.

If you are doing a large upgrade you can generally get these from your LF rep if you ask nicely. As long as the same customer doesn't ask for them for constantly.
Just keep in mind if you do it this way you have to re license everything after the migration which will result in a short outage.
Of course, this is also what Rio is for... "Say Mr. Customer, don't you want the ability to do this yourself before every upgrade or to test things?"
