Does updating RIO master license require relicensing all of the products?

RIO system currently has Master License for version 9. We need to upgrade one of existing LF servers to version 9.1. In order to issue server license for 9.1 we need to update Master license. After I udate master license do I need to relicense all other servers?

No, you do not need to re-license your other products. Just the ones that you are needing a new license for due to a version change.

 

One caveat is an issue where the GUID for the WebLink product changed in the updated master license. In that case, you would need to trim the database to remove those registered WebLink application instances. For that situation, you would need to re-register the WebLink instances and generate a new license for each of them. However, this should no longer be an issue as we've addressed the matter with the GUIDs.
