Can Import Agent bring in excel, word and pdf files into Laserfiche? I have been trying to find references to this but have been unable to locate any information.

Import Agent can be configured to bring in most any type of file into Laserfiche. 

 

However it does not perform text extraction for  your text searching when it comes in through import agent. That only happens through the client. It will try to extract text from a pdf if the pdf is searchable. 

 

It doesn't create tif files for any of these however, it just adds the document as a electronic image.
