Question

How can I route a form submitted by a director to skip his route of approval and go straight to his supervisor?

asked on February 11, 2014

If a form is submitted, forms are submitted by our secretaries usually,  our business process routes depending on what campus/dept is selected.  after that director/admin of campus/dept selected will approve.  what i want to do is, if a director/admin submits his or her own form and wants to skip having to approve form he or she just submitted, how would i do that in the business process?

you can use an "Exclusive Gateway" to route the initial form submission according to a token of who submitted the form.

You can check if the "Process Initiator" is this directors account, or you can use a variable from your form to create your conditional expression.

Alternatively, You can set a hidden field to have a value from the "Current User" variables as a default value and then use that.
