Feature Request: Document Bookmarks

asked on February 11, 2014

Is there a feature similar to bookmarks in a PDF for a file opened within Laserfiche?

With our large documents we have a lot of bookmarks in Adobe Acrobat.

Thanks!

Hi Aileen,

You can use Laserfiche annotations as a way to bookmark your documents. For example, a user might create text box annotations for each section of a document and name them "Section I," "Section II" and so on. Using the Annotation Pane, that user can double-click the appropriate bookmark (annotation) and jump directly to it in the document.

You can also search for specific text inside annotations using the Annotation Text search.

See this tech tip for more information. Hope this helps!

Aileen,

Not sure if you are still needing this (better late than never!) but this can be accomplished through Laserfiche Workflow using code. See the following https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/164634.

Thanks!

Wesley
