Hi Jerry,

When taking a photo directly from within the Laserfiche Mobile app, no image is saved on the phone. The image will either be stored into the repository if you choose to use it, or will not be saved at all if you choose to retake the photo or cancel the import.

Now, if you are taking photos from within your phone's camera app and then uploading them into Laserfiche afterward with the Mobile app, then yes you would have a copy of the image saved on the device as well as in the repository.

When you say it is "not secure," are you referring to the iOS camera or the Android camera?

both place images in either a cameraroll or gallery of some sort from what I have seen.

Great!  that is good news and I tested and you are right it is not placed in the Gallery of pictures on the phone when you take the picture directly in Laserfiche. smiley

Hi Kelsey,

It's good to know that images "can and cannot" be saved into LF repository when using mobile apps. Somehow or rather, with LF 10 forms embedded in mobile app, it doesnt have the compression functions for android devices to reduce the size of the picture taken. Every picture taken is about more than 2mb. Whereas if we take a picture via mobile app as opposed to forms mobile we can actually select compression functions to reduce the size of the picture.is there a workaround in mobile forms? We need  to upload more pictures in mobile forms to initiate a process. Thanks

Hello Davin,

This feature is not available in the current release as you have noted. However this feature will most likely be in the next release of Service Pack 1 for Version 10.
