Hi there,

 

There are other discussions around this request which contain more detail. The long answer is "with enough time and money, you can get workflow to carry out this function but you'll kill your workflow server so it's not a good idea."

 

Interesting to note are the number of times it gets asked...

 

It would be great if Laserfiche could develop a "preview generation" engine. Sometime it's enough just to see the first couple of pages rendered in HTML, perhaps as a distributed process so it could be installed on a computer with universal view/print software/original applications.

Snapshot has the ability to do what you are asking. Is there a reason it would not fulfill your need?
