In Laserfiche Forms, is the direct approval feature available for both forms users and authenticated participants?
Yes, the direct approval feature works with any authenticated users (including full named users and participant users), as long as they have a valid email address.
What about a non-authenticated user? For instance, we have some forms that employees will be filling out. To make sure the employee is actually making the request we would like to send an email to the employee's email asking them if they made the request or not. If Yes, then reply back. Is that possible?
Direct approval is a feature for user tasks; anonymous (non-authenticated) users cannot be assigned user tasks.
Could something be done with the "First Submission IP Address" a field populated on form submittals for both anonymous and internal users? Would there be a way to determine the employee based on IP address in order to send an email asking the employee to confirm they submitted a form?
Hope that is not a really dumb question. I was working on a forms report today and saw the IP address field and remembered this post. Thought I would post this reply in case it could be helpful.
