Command line to start a specific QF session with opening up a icon/shortcut.

posted on January 31, 2014

Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if there is a way I can configure an icon/shortcut with command line to automatically start a QF session and all user will be required to do is hit that icon and the process starts. Trying to reduce user's steps as much possible without having then to buy QF Agent.

Thank you in advance!

Best,

Himanshu

That will definitely help in skipping a step. Can I also have it scan automatically as soon as the session is fired?

That is something I am not sure about. But it's just a big button on the top left. I know people are lazy, but that seems a little bit extreme to automate it that much.

Also, I noticed this in the options menu:

Can scripts automate the starting of the process or do they only run after the session is started?

lol.. I know it is little too much to ask to automate that, but its just one of those things that helps for selling the solution. I agree, its being too lazy!

Can you just have them Double-Click on the Quick Fields Session file? This would be the simplest solution.
