Question

quick fields temp folder

asked on January 30, 2014

Hello, I've noticed that there has been an accumulation of documents that should have been processed by a QF session in its temp folder. I am not sure if the agent is picking these documents up for processing and I am wondering if there is a way to ensure that these document get processed from the temporary location.

Hi Calvin,

You will probably find that the documents which are in the temp folder remain within a QF session (either in the document class or as unidentified documents). I would look through the sessions by opening them in the QF application to check if there are any documents in any of the sessions.

You can also change the temp location if you need to. This is located within the QF application in Tools>Options>Advanced - Save temporary documents in: By default in windows 7 it's C:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\Quick Fields\Files.

Hope this helps Calvin!

Hi Calvin,

Chris is exactly right.  If the documents are still in the temp folder, that means they're almost certainly still being held in a Quick Fields session somewhere.  I'd go through and check all your existing sessions!

Hi Calvin,

So did you find documents stuck in Quick Fields?
