Question

Multiple column sort option for the viewing documents in LF Client.

asked on January 29, 2014

Hello Everyone,

I have a used case where user is trying to sort with two metadata columns (Primary sort condition and Secondary Sort Condition). Both fields are part of metadata. Let me know if anyone has any suggestion. If there is a way I can declare that in attributes if its not part of Tools--> Options.

Thanks!

Best,

Himanshu

As of Web Access 9.1, it is possible to sort on multiple columns out of the box. This can be done using the multi-column sort dialog, which is launched by right-clicking on a column header and selecting "Multi-column sort".

Multi-column sorting is not supported in the desktop Client.

Is this client a Web Access user? it may be possible to modify the files of Web Access to make this type of sorting happen for you in the browser based access.

Yes I have been asked by our users if they can sort multiple columns in the laserfiche repository as well.
