Can the LF Client features "Generate Pages" & "Use Snapshot Virtual Printer" option be disabled and leave the option for OCR enabled?

The sys admin does not want this feature / option to be enabled but wants users to be able to OCR documents and extract text.  Does not want user to create pages, especially using the snapshot option of the feature.

Snapshots easy - if you don't choose to install it as part of the desktop Client (it's an optional component, although enabled by default) then you won't get that option.

 

There isn't a way to outright disable PDF page generation though - the Client isn't setup to allow administrators to enable and disable features, just control what people can access through their security options. I believe both generate text and generate pages are tied to the process FR, as you've probably noticed.

 

What's the concern with page generation? Perhaps there's a different way to address the underlying issue?
