I have 2 user's that have recently received new Laptops with Windows 8.1 Enterprise. Now when they are in the repository and expand the folder list in the left pane of the client, it is much slower than if you do the same thing on a Windows 7 machine. It is only the first time that you expand the folder tree, but it is the first time you expand it each time you go into the client. Anyone else experience this type of behavior?
Question
Question
Has anyone else had a delay issue when expanding folders in the LF 9 client when using Windows 8.1?
Answer
Since you have already isolated the issue to two users, it should be fairly straightforward to collect some diagnostics and troubleshoot. The best way to do that is to open a case with our Support team. :)

I have not seen any issues like that, however I am using Windows 8.1 Pro.
What 9 version? Are you using Windows Auth.? I had similar behavior but it was more related to 9.1 than the OS. Does a LF user account display that first opening faster?
We are currently using 9.1. I honestly have not tested using just a LF user, we are using Windows Authentication. I will try and give that try and post the results.
We are using windows 7 and are experiencing the same issue with windows users.
I just found this posting after having posted my own similar issue...

I have a Windows 7 Pro. 64Bit fully patched users with LF 9.1.1.486 installed who is experiencing the same issue. Oddly enough, this user is the only person I know of so far with this particular issue.
Windows Authentication is used.
Hopefully this issue can be addressed soon.
After doing several different troubleshooting things we were able to determine that it was our Trend Micro Anti-Virus that was causing this kind of scenario. We uninstalled Trend-Micro and they installed Symantec AV and the issue went away. Folder open up very quick with out any delay. The strange part is that most of our user's are using Windows 7 and still on Trend-Micro, but are unaffected. But once they started using Windows 8 and Trend Micro this started happening. I would look into your AV if you are experiencing this issue.
Thanks
This issue was addressed by restoring the clients defaults. The link below shows the post how this issue was resolved:

Hopefully this helps other users experiencing the same issue.
