Does weblink (designer) only accept .gif images

Trying to change some of the images in the designer (main logo and welcome page logo) but wondering if they only accept .gif images. I'm aware I can edit the individual pages .aspx code to place my specific image but wondering if I can do it simply with the designer.

You are right, the images must be in GIF format when using the WebLink Designer. If converting your image to GIF format is a problem, then you'll have to edit the .aspx code directly as you mentioned.
