Normal.dotm is a template for storing default font and page setup configuration for new word documents. Each time we try to save a document to Laserfiche using the Plug-In the document successfully saves but Word gives us a message that Normal.dotm can't be modified while it is in use (by Word). Why would the plug-in want to modify our default configuration for new word documents? Is there any way to get this message to go away?

I haven't seen this issue since version 7 of Laserfiche. What version of Laserfiche and MS Office are you using?

These links relate to version 7.....

As Chris notes, this was a limitation with an earlier iteration of the office plug-in. The current plug-in shouldn't operate in a way that causes this to occur.

I did see some of those articles but this is with the Office 2010 plug-in and a newer version of the client. The only way we have been able to take the message away is to login with a profile that does not use a normal.docm. They are going to try building a new profile from scratch.
