Question

Am I right in saying that cr.dll is gone in version 9.1?

asked on January 23, 2014

I've been doing some testing with 9.1 and have noticed that cr.dll is no longer there? I assume this is how it's supposed to be?

If so....it's the end of an era!

For background information, starting with Laserfiche Server 8.0 and up to 9.0, the server logic was in the file cr.dll. When working with Laserfiche Support and asked to provide the exact version of the Laserfiche Server being used, you would have needed to get the version of cr.dll. With Laserfiche Server 9.1, we've moved the server logic back into lfs.exe so that's the file to check when needing to provide the exact version to Support.

is this something that if it's needed, might be able to be installed by installing the runtime SDK?

EDIT: Just realized in the comment above how this file would contain the server logic. I quess the proper question to ask is what the equivalent file would be in 9.1
