Importing Information from fillable PDF field to template field.

Hello Everyone,

 

I had a quick question for a used case that I am working on. I am trying to capture a fillable pdf field that is  being populated by the users and push that into the template field. I do not think that is possible with out of the box WF activities. Please let me know if anyone has any suggestion(s).

So you are just wanting to take a PDF Form and extract the fields in the PDF Form to use to fill out a Template in Laserfiche? If so, it is very much possible. We are currently doing that with multiple workflows. You will first need to use the Retrieve PDF Form Content activity to select which fields to extract data from. Once you have those selected you would use the Assign Template activity to then assign those tokens to the appropriate template fields.
