Question

Laserfiche Mobile current version not compatible with Previous Web Access Version?

asked on January 21, 2014

Hello Everyone,

I am trying to setup the LF Mobile Access for a client running LF Server 8.3 and WA 8.3. When He tried accessing the repository using LF most recent iOS mobile access app he received the message saying "The LF Mobile add-on for web access is from a previous version and cannot be accessed from this version of mobile app."

Does that mean the LF mobile app is not backward compatible?

Is their a way I can downgrade the mobile app version? (I dont think there is a way unless you install the IPA directly.)

Thank you!

Best,

Himanshu

This is referring to the Laserfiche Mobile add-on that you install on the web server. Laserfiche Mobile add-on 9.1 supports Laserfiche Server and Web Access 8.3 and higher. Using the latest version of the app that you download from the Apple App Store just requires that the add-on be up to date, but you don't have to upgrade your Laserfiche Server or Web Access. You would only need to upgrade the Laserfiche Server and Web Access to take advantage of full functionality, i.e. new features.

You cannot downgrade the version of the mobile app, but you can resolve this issue by upgrading your Mobile Add-on for Web Access to the current version. For more information about installing and configuring Laserfiche Mobile 9.1, check out this white paper.
