No Image when Importing MS Word

We have added the DOC and DOCX files extensions to the Electronic File Conversion option in Client 9. When Word documents are imported and converted extra pages are generated, the image and thumbnails are random characters and there is no OCR.

 

Also, when the we attempt to export the document we get a  "No data was available for export"

error.

 

I seem to recall that there was a similar issue in LF7 when importing Word and PDF.

 

Is this a known issue?

The file import conversion list is only available for documents that can be directly converted for. One image format to another - such as tiff, jpg, etc... If you want to generate image pages from electronic documents (those file types that open up through their native application by default in the Laserfiche Client) you will need to use Snapshot.
