Question

The client's computer shut down in the middle of an import.

asked on January 15, 2014

The client's computer shut down in the middle of an import.  Now the repository is not showing up when Laserfiche is launched.  It is also not showing up in the admin console.  I have tried to re-register the repository, but it gives an error 7050.  Any suggestions?

Please provide more details.

Is the machine a server? If yes, has the services been started (checked that they were started) after booting back up?

Yes, the machine is a server.  When they rebooted the computer after it shut down, they tried to open Laserfiche and no repository showed up.  Checked the services, and both the MSSQL server and the Laserfiche Server services were started.  I had them stop and restart the services (the Laserfiche Server service hung up and would not restart, had to stop it through Windows Task Manager.  Then we were able to restart it (although it took a long time).

When the admin console is opened no repository is listed.  Tried to register the existing repository.  It goes through all of the steps, but at the end it says that the database doesn't exist, and gives error 7050.

Hi Gail,

Is this with Laserfiche Server 7.x? You can check the error.log file found in the repository directory for more details about the 7050 error. However, if you need further assistance, it may be better to open a support case.

Hi Gail,

I have to agree with Alexander and it may be best to open up a support case to resolve this in a timely manner if you need further assistance.
