Kindly, Which is the difference if I don't install Scan connect?

Scan Connect is just one of the choices available as far as a scan engine. It is a Laserfiche product so therefore supportable, so that might be a consideration in your decision. It uses ISIS scanner drivers which I think are faster and more robust for commercial type use. Other engines are available that will work with Laserfiche, though support for those if something goes wrong may be limited. TWAIN is sometimes an option but not as feature rich with settings and such, and Kofax I have also used in situations where image cleanup is paramount, but it loads slower and requires more Windows rights generally. You really have to look at the scanning solution overall and what you are trying to achieve I think.

Kofax VRS comes with most FI- series Fujitsu scanners and does a good job.  As long as you have Kofax loaded before you load LF Scanning everything should work fine.  For us, it saves us some licensing cost.

I did not use Scan Connect for Four years. We were using Twain scanning. We started having issues after a location move, we tried for weeks to get it to work. Since we started using Scan Connect two years ago, it was a less buggy product and aave not have any issues since. We also no longer have the old bugs we would have.

Scan connect is only used for certain scanners in lieu of using other drivers.
