Laserfiche currently uses the OmniPage OCR engine, which is not designed for use with handwritten text. There are two options available for ICR of handwritten text, including cursive text, on the integration marketplace: http://www.laserfiche.com/en-us/marketplace#Handwriting_Recognition_and_Data_Extraction

You may look at PSI Capture. They have a great product and the option for ICR as well. You can find it at psigen.com.

ICR is not a drop in replacement for OCR.  You do not just buy an ICR integration and extract any and all hand written text on the image.  ICR has to try to use context to infer the text extraction.  The less constrained, the less accurate the process.  It is for this reason that each type of form you want to process will need its own setup and configuration.

Also, when you start talking about ICR, while you have multiple vendors doing integrations, you only have a few options for the underlying engine.  And for all of the ICR engines, you pre-purchase usage.  This click or process cost makes most uses out of reach financially.

If you still feel that ICR is something that you need, I would recommend that you talk to the people at Bolt about their Bolt Script.
