Question

Recieved bad response from the server

asked on January 7, 2014

When I try to process a PDF through Quickfields (simply pickup the QF from a folder in Laserfiche using LF Capture and move it to an other folder) I get an error message:

Error occured while trying to scan document id=2583946. name=test_doc PDF. error=Received bad response from the server

Can someone please suggest that what am I doing wrong.

Yeah, that's what I thought you'd be using. It's a known issue with QF9 against version 8 servers. It's been fixed in the latest hotfix.

The error isn't very helpful. Have you tried turning off your Anti-Virus program and see if it works. You may have something interfering with the connection. You can also try a different pdf to see if it still gives the same error.

What are the versions of the LFServer and Quick Fields? Is this happening for every document or intermittently? Does the error occur if you're not trying to move the document?

Mohammad,

Thanks for your reply. I don't have anti-virus installed at that machine, so this couldn't be an issue. I will give a different PDF a try as the LF connection seems fine and I have tried with two different repos, with connections working fine.

Miruna,

Thanks for your reply. LF Server: 8.3.2.736 QF: 9.0.0.427. I have currently tried with couple of PDF's and got the same error. Quickfields doesn't even read the pdf from the source folder (using LF Capture) and showing the above error in the error pane.

Thanks Miruna.

I will be upgrading my LF Server to 9.1 soon, so I hope this issue would get fixed automatically.

Thanks for your help.
