The Laserfiche Server doesn't run OCR. OCR is actually a component of client installations that is run locally on the machine running the Laserfiche Client, not a server feature. So if you want to run OCR on the same machine as the Laserfiche Server (i.e. while you are connected via Remote Desktop), you will have to also install the Laserfiche Client on that machine and OCR through that.
