Access Rights

Laserfiche Version 9 Security

I have given browse & read access (and more) to 4 groups of users on a folder but when they log in Laserfiche, only 1 group sees the folder, while the 3 others don't see the folder at all. Strangely, these other 3 groups have access to other folders which they can browse. Please advise.

* Product, Laserfiche RIO 9.0.2

* Users are all windows accounts

* Groups appear to have been created correctly on Active Directory

* I have set rules in License Manager and the users have correctly appeared in the Named Users List

* I have added the respective windows groups on LF Admin Console > windows accounts

Please advise if you require any additional information.

Is there are security Tag on that folder that they other groups are not able to see?

Have you checked the effective access rights of these groups or specific users to see what the client is reporting as there rights?

I've had this issue before, you might need to make sure if they are nested folders they have access to all the folders in the upper hierarchy. You may be inheriting rights from them which your certain groups will not have access to.

Also - what does the audit trail say? Sometimes that can give an indication of why access is being denied.
