Question

I am trying to find this reg key to set up webdav and can not find it, do I have to create it manually, and if so, what type of key does it need to be?

asked on December 3, 2013

the devnotes article references some registry keys that I can not find and I'm not sure if I need to manually create them or what type of key it should be, here are the devnotes:

In Laserfiche 9, there is a switch, which controls how office integration behaves for Web DAV office documents. We don't provide friendly UI so people cannot easily set it. But they can change the registry themselves. The registry key is "HKCU\Software\Laserfiche\Client8\Profile\Options@OPWebDAV". By default, the value is "1", which means support for Web DAV is enabled.

  • If support for Web DAV is enabled, office integration establishs connection with Laserfiche Server through LFSO. And people can edit content and metadata just like what they did in thick client. Office application will try to lock the file while opening by default, which prevents the locking of LFSO, and we don't find a good way to release the lock of Web DAV. So we recommend disable server locking for office applications, if people want to use office integration. The setting is "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\[version]\Common\Internet@DisableServerLocking". After correctly setting the value to 1, office integration is able to lock the file gracefully

Yes, you need to create the registry manually, a string value will be OK.
