We are looking to implement Digital signatures but were wondering if anyone has implemented them using a CA approved by the SOS. Below is a link of those approved CA's.

Question
Has anyone setup digital signatures with a certificate authority approved by the Secretary of State? Presales, are these supported for use with LF digital signatures?

Hi Jesse,
We've used Symantec certificates for testing purposes, and they work just fine. Just keep in mind, Laserfiche digital signatures are entirely metadata-based. Any signed documents exported from Laserfiche will not have signatures attached. Since the signatures are only visible and meaningful to people inside your organization, there usually isn't a benefit to using third-party signing certificates. The certificates you can create with Windows Server are free, and should be just as meaningful internally. Of course, if you're doing this for regulatory reasons, then feel free to use just about any signing certificates you feel like.
