Changing the anti-virus from VIPRE to Sophos seems to cause slow launching of scanning interface.

Changing the anti-virus from VIPRE to Sophos seems to be causing our test scanner to be very slow when launching LF Scanning and the whole scanning process.  Any known issue between LF and Sophos?

You can try adding exception rules for all the laserfiche applications running on that machine.
Following are some that are common:

- lf.exe

- lfscan.exe

- lftwainclient.exe

Hope this helps.

We are currently running Sophos Antivirus with no problems. We just switched from LightSpeed.

Scanning is a separate excutable from the Client, and so are the scan engines. So, like Mohammad says above, you need to add a exceptions for them. Besides the TWAIN one above, the names of the scan engine EXEs are: ScanConnectClient.exe (ScanConnect), FileScanClient.exe (Universal Capture), WIAScanClient.exe (WIA). They're located in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor. Other files you should create exceptions for are: BPSessionClient.exe (also in C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor), BPOMniOCR82.exe (C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Laserfiche\Batch Processor\BPOmniOCR164) and ThumbnailGenerator.exe (in the Scanning install folder, usually C:\Program Files (x86)\Laserfiche\Client\Scanning\Utilities).
