This is more of a feature question I suppose. With more and more clients using PDF forms, is Laserfiche planning to implement a way where changes to a PDF can be done just like Word or Excel? Currently users have to export the PDF, make changes, and re-import. Or the form can only be filled out by workflow using metadata.
A Word doc for example, you can edit and then save and Laserfiche asks you if you want to overwrite a doc, save as a new version, etc.. But PDF's seem to not have that option. Adding that functionalitly would be great. Also adding a new feature for the "Wait for Change" entry in Workflow to include modifying an electronic doc. So a user opens and pdf, fills out some of the form, saves and closes it. Workflow sees that Electronic Document change and then moves the PDF on. Not sure if I am making any sense or if I am completley missing something in Workflow. I know filling out the metadata can work but many of our users gravitate directly to the form itself since it is right in front of them. They don't quite understand why they need to fill out a template when they can just fill out the nice form.
Anyway, sorry if this isnt a question per se. Just looking to see if that is being looked at for sometime in the future.
Thanks!
