Question

Scanning over Citrix

asked on August 23, 2013

Hi,

We are doing a "scanning over citirx" test for one of our customer.

We have Laserfiche client installed on a citrix environment (citrix  xen).

Client machines are able to open Laserfiche client and launch the scanning interface.

But, when we scan using twain driver, the Scanning Interface Hangs, and we get a message “LF twain could not load the requested scanner fi-6130, etc….. If we select scanconnect , Laserfiche is not able to load the driver

Scanner model Fi-6130, It works normally on a normal Laserfiche Client machine (not Citrix).

Please, do you have any idea on how to make it works with Citrix?

Thanks,

Dory

Hey Dory,

Laserfiche is supported in a Citrix environment, but Laserfiche Scanning is not.  Some users have had success configuring it, but because it depends so heavily on the version of software you’re using and model of scanner, we just can’t provide support for this functionality.  This KB article may help finding out more information about Citrix and scanning.

We've had some luck with clients in Citrix scanning using TSScan - check out http://www.terminalworks.com/remote-desktop-scanning/.
